After a long gap Telugu Film Industry is bringing a 13 th century historical and periodic subject on to the celluloid screen. Rani Rudhramadevi (1259–1289) was one of the most prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau, being one of the few ruling queens in Indian history.
This big budgeted movie is Directed and produced by GunaSekhar who is known for blockbusters and big sets in the industry. Recently #Rudramadevi film has launched it's audio in Andhra University campus grounds Visakhapatnam.
What's interesting observation is that the root subject of the movie is from Telangana and the Audio Launch was celebrated in AndhraPradesh. If we do a layman analysis of this observation we find two reasons:
1. Gunasekhar the director of the film hails from the state of AndhraPradesh , is born in Narsipatnam and grew up in Vizag. So he wants that event planned in #Vizag
2. After the telugu states split into two there seems a realization in majority of Film directors who come from AndhraPradesh. Looks like they feel its time they want to show their love to their motherland. Rudramadevi audio launch event is an example and signals that in future Tollywood film industry will look to Vizag or Vijayawada for big events.
The real reason behind this plan has to be shared by Gunasekhar and his team, but
Vizagites and people from AP will surely thank Gunasekhar for his early initiation to pivot the industry.
